The Octavia

The Octavia is a long-form play about the relationship between the Roman Emperor Nero and his tutor Seneca, the Stoic philosopher and playwright. Based--at times irresponsibly--on history, The Octavia is a look at character, at education, at empire, at art, at love, and at what it is to speak truth to power.

A process reading of The Octavia was presented on Sunday, January 8th in the Penthouse Theatre (and, briefly, room 202) at the University of Washington School of Drama.
